“Kvartet til minde om en sang” (“Quartet in memory of a song”) was first performed at Pulsar festival 2016 by musicians from The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus.

“Kvartet til minde om en sang” for string quartet, “Minde om en sang” for children’s quartet and “En sang” for cassette tape are written with the same material: a song I wrote, when I was 6 years old. In the string quartet we get the abstract version, very removed from the original song. In the children’s quartet we hear the song more clearly, though still processed and changed. On the cassette tape we hear a child singing the original song on the media of my childhood.
